You can also do:
cd /var/cahce/redcarper/packages
for ENTRY in `ls -1 /mnt/cdrom1`
do
ln -s /mnt/cdrom1/$ENTRY $ENTRY
done
And then do the install and pull the packages off the CD (quicker than copying
them to the HD). The installer seems sufficiently clueless about symbolic
links.
