Have you looked at:

The document at http://www.webtechniques.com/archives/1999/05/junk/junksb1.shtml
makes it looks like Netscape's "roaming profiles" updates an LDAP adresss book.
It doesn't look to me (played around a little) like Netscape can update a
directory server. Which seems odd as they sell one.
