Most people have never installed Windows from scratch. I have seen
many "Linux reviews" that said they could not get Linux to install
because "it would not autolaunch when I put the CD in". Worse yet,
those who actually knew they needed to boot the CD outside of
Windows couldn't figure out how to get the CD first and then blamed
that on Linux!
What I really like about Linux is the fact that new relesaes come
out every 3-6 months, so you have the latest drivers. With Windows,
I have to worry about tracking down all the latest drivers everytime
I install (or reinstall ;-). With Linux, I just grab the latest
release and have drivers for nearly all my hardware (except for the
Win9x-only stuff, which I can only assume is what problems you are
having?).
