Re: Linux in the LOCAL news.



Many times, if it says "Special to the Gazette", it's content they've taken from a service that they subscribe to. Chances are, that's what this is. That would explain why klug wasn't included. Because of that, it's unlikely that you'll see it on mlive.com. But I have been wrong before... :)

I like it!!

It was written by Bran Zera with a note by the authors name: "Special to the
Gazette".  I wonder if the author is a Gazette employee or if this is written by
someone from the outside.  The gist feel of the article is that it is honest;
linux has a learning curve but there are stability differences between linux and
it's nearest competitor.

The first %40 of the text does not mention linux, just a bit about computers,
m$, segmentation faults and General protection faults.  It does label linux as
an alternative, runs faster and is free.

I wish we could have gotten a plug for the lug!
