Well, if you want to "shorten it," get the point across that people
must understand that KLUG is not just a "part of the community," it
"*IS* the community."  It is so easy for people to point to an
organization and say "yeah, those guys suck" when they don't realize
it is not an organization, but the assembly of the community
donating their time, effort and, in some cases, money to others in
the community.

Just my $0.02 ... again, I don't live there.
