Exactly my intent.

Yes, without any additional comment, you directed this person to an
good source, something he completely neglected to mention.

>You could *paraphrase* the above as: "Do it yourself or you'll never

One thing I've learned is that one can paraphrase anything as almost
anything else. If I WANT to be offended, or if I WANT to fume about
something, I'll do so.

I had the misfortune of working with someone who was convinced that I
wanted her job. I once tried to tell her that this was never on my mind,
and then she felt insulted; it was clear to her that I didn't think her
job was "that important". The lesson I take from this sort of thing is
that you can never win against someone who is bent on picking apart every-
thing.

What this has to do with Mr. Starling, I haven't the faintest; your point
reminds me of this experience.

Anyway, Mr. Starling claims that the message was a QUOTE. Someone (the sender,
or Mr. Starling) ought to produce the mail message to substantiate this claim.
If no sender can, then Mr. Starling will be requested for this, in due course.

>... I will, however, continue to post responses like the above.
Oh, we ought not modify our behavior because of this, and I don't think
your message was the offending one. I think I know who the sender is (I'd
rather not say at the moment, for several reasons), but there's no reason
to ask that person to change a thing, either.

                                                        Regards,
