The newsgroup:  "comp.security.announce" is also good to monitor.
They post newly found security holes in programs and recommendations
of how to fix them.  They give details right down to vendor specific
patches for all major Unix systems, and some Linux distributions, 
including Redhat!  They also post info about current hacker activity 
occassionally.  Most posts are by CERT.  Speaking of which, the CERT 
(Computer Emergency Response Team) web site at  http://www.cert.org/ 
also has a lot of good information.
