Klug Minutes for the 1-3-98 Meeting

The meeting started a little before I got there, so I would say 3:15pm at
Cyber-Tek Cafe. Bob Brown gave a presentation on how to install Red-Hat
4.2 which went very smoothly, Great job Bob. We had a few new members in
the crowd, which are listed below. (Some of the people listed below are not
new members but they signed the sheet we passed around and I'm not sure
which are new and which are returning members).

Name / E-mail address or Phone Number
------------------
Mark Chapman / ???
Roy Kuger / ???
Butch Christie / enos@battlecreek.net
Tom Moore / 665-7477 (voice only)
Chris Gidman / cjgidman@am.pnu.com
Trish Elli, John Krause / 372-5619 (home)
Chris Chio / clchio@net-link.net
Tom Moore / 376-6722

After the presentation was done we did a little getting to know you bit and
everyone attending shared a little of their background with Linux. After
that we pretty much adjourned the meeting and took off.

We do have a couple of notes which everyone should be aware of. First off,
we want to thank Adam Williams for donating a 486 computer to the group to
be used for presentations. If anyone has a monitor that we could use with
it, that would be useful as well. The other note is that we will no longer
be meeting at Cyber-Tek Cafe. We have moved on to bigger and better
places. This Sunday we will be meeting at...

Pharmacia and Upjohn (Building 298)
That's the north-east corner of Portage St. and Bishop Rd.
(Bishop is the first street that goes from Sprinkle to Portage
south of the airport)
Entrances to the parking lot are about 500 feet north (on Portage)
and 400 feet east (on Bishop) of the intersection.
There will be specific directions at the front door when you get there,
Bldg. 298 is a large glass building with a sloping front.

Bob and I are contacting the people with only phone numbers to make sure
that they are aware of the new location.

One other question I guess I will ask you all. Should we put a sign in
Cyber-Tek stating where we are meeting now (if that is cool w/ Rick)?
Someone off the street that saw a flier might not be aware of our new
meeting place.

Ok that's all, everyone stay cool and I'll see you all on Sunday (My
Birthday).
