Re: Help for a poor old software developer



Look under the help listing for Adaptec AHA-152X when you re-compile your
kernel...it just happens to be a catchall driver for older Adaptec adapters and
single chip scsi devices, including the embedded SCSI device on a Soundblaster
16 SCSI (which is what my CDROM drive is currently hooked up to).  It works very
well, I've used the driver for a 1510+Zip drive before, the only caveat being
that you'll have to add an "append=" line to your lilo.conf file so the card
gets recognized on boot.
