Star Office

I just subscribed to this list...Looks pretty good...But I have a
question for any Red Hat guru's out there...

I just installed Red Hat 5.0...And I went out and downloaded Star
Office...A pretty hefty download at nearly 44 MB...I want to install
it on my Linux boxen...

Now the readme say's I need a libc at version 5.4.22 or greater...I
found 5.4.44 at sunsite in rpm format...I got it and applied the
rpm...But when I try the setup script with Star it gives me the
error..

"line 1 : Syntax error at token 'I' expected declarator : i.e. File
..."

Now at the Star Division site in the readme this is the error they
say you will get if your libc is not at an appropriate level...I have
applied the libc update...And have run ldconfig...And
rebooted...Still I get the same error..If anyone has an idea could
you please email me with the info...It would be appreciated...

Machine specs...

Pent 133
32 MB
1.2 GB HD
2.1 GB HD
ATI Mach 64 Video
USR 33.6 modem
The Red Hat 5.0 distribution with XFree86

I have also tried applying the libc update manually from sunsite
without using the rpm method...It appears to work and the update
seems to be applied...But the setup still crashes with the same
error...

Any ideas?...email...ajs@qtm.net
