Adding Hard Drive

I will be adding a hard drive (2.1 gig) to
my Packard-Bell CD18 (50MHz, 430 Meg drive).

Since I'll need the extra space, I'm contemplating
moving my /home directories (for users) to the
new drive (once I install it).  How would
I go about removing the /home partition from
my 430 Meg disk and putting it on drive #2?

Better yet - how do I install a second hard
drive and get Linux to recognize it? 

This install will occur within the next two
weeks.
