IBM PS/2 MCA Woes Et Cetera

Hi Kids!

I had hoped to drag my pesky PS/2 back this evening to let eveyone have
another chance to hang their heads and shake them slowly and woefully,
but a buddy of mine has a semi-pro table-tennis tournament this weekend;
I'm his coach, and he's taken the week off to get ready. Since I'm
leaving town Thursday afternoon, I feel obliged to give him and his
doubles partner every free minute I can (outside of work).

I've looked at Slackware without success "re" MCA + SCSI CD-ROM.

If anyone has further suggestions, don't be shy...it's okay to be wrong.

I've checked with the guy from whom I bought the "idiot-box" (I needed a
new monitor anyway) to see whether he's got a swap that's non-MCA.  I'll
let you know how he responds (he turns over a BUNCH o' boxes), since it
may be of interest to you find how flexible he is before you share any
of YOUR hard-earned money with him.  As a final note additional to
