May 26th: The Microsoft Anti-Trust Cases

   May 26th
   The Microsoft Anti-Trust Cases
The recent filing of anti-trust actions against Microsoft Corporation
has interesting implications for the future of the software industry,
particularly in areas such as open standards. Bob will lead a
discussion on the legal actions in progress, and help the group
explore some of the effects of these cases.

Robert Brown is a software developer with over twenty years developing
applications, programmer tools, and libraries. Currently working as a
consultant, he has been following the evolving legal issues
surrounding software and intellectual property for many years. While
no legal expert, Bob has bumped into legal issues more than once, and
the topic has more than passing interest to him.
