Hey, go for it! We might as well get this kind of thing out in the open
so we can (hopefully) resolve it!

I agree, we should announce these things sooner, and will try to do
better
in the future. Sorry, and thanks for pointing that out.

I appreciate Scott stepping forward so quickly and accepting
responsibility,
but it is really myself and Bob who should accept the responsibility for
this.
It was our idea, and we enlisted Scott's help _later_ to write the
program.
(since he has done all the other work on our mail server)

Now, I'd like to move on and change the subject slightly.

The reason for this program in the first place, was to help increase
attendance at KLUG meetings. We thought better worded reminders might
help.

The fact is, attendance has been rather poor lately. As of yesterday,
we
have 45 people on our mailing list. We usually get about a half-dozen
people at meetings (give or take). That's not very good, in my opinion.

I have a question for the group: What are we doing wrong ??????
Please tell us what we can do to convince YOU to come to a meeting?
Don't be afraid to be blunt, you won't offend us. We tried changing
the meeting day and time, but that didn't seem to help very much.

Our best meeting of late was the one where everyone chipped in for
pizza.
Is that the answer? I'm running out of ideas here. If you don't come
to meetings, please reply to this and tell us why. We would greatly
appreciate the input! Thank you very much in advance.

... and we look forward to seeing you at a meeting very soon! ...
:-)

Sincerely,
