Meeting - Advanced IP techniques

Adam will cover the following topics:
1. How to connect an internal network of almost any size using private IP
addresses to the Internet using a very low-powered Linux box (IP Masquerading).

2. How to perform packet filtering to control certain services, and logging
attempted violation.

3. How to safely get into your network now that you've secured it, namely SSH.
Includes both simple "shell" access to the firewall, and how to run PPP over
SSH to create an encrypted link between two Linux fire walls across the Internet.

Adam Williams is a Network administrator for a large heterogeneous
network that spans Michigan and Indiana. The topics he will be covering are a few of the techniques he uses in his work, with Linux and other Operating Systems.
