RE: Ridin' Through Gateway Country, Roundin' up details....

hey, speaking of hardware for sale, i got an old 486 i could get rid of, for
a few bucks.
depends on how much someone wants to pay, give me an offer, someone could at
least use it for parts.

it's 486 dx2 66, 12mb memory, 408mb hard drive, 2x cdrom, vga monitor,
cirrus logic gl5428 1mb video card. oh yeah and i'll also throw in a 120mb
tape backup with 3 or 4 tapes, and yep it work in linux of course.

the system works fine, i used it a year ago, originally when i bought it, it
was the best money could buy, if you could believe that. i paid about $1200
for it. maybe $2200 i forget...and ugh, it's a packard bell, but it's the
first computer i've ever used and i was stupid back then.

only problem, the monitor isn't the original, it's a really, really, really
old vga monitor, so you might wanna hook up something else to it. i'm using
the existing monitor it came with.

and you can also upgrade it with the intel pentium overdrive, but that's
pretty useless.

i'd give it away for free, i don't use it, but it's kind of worth more then
nothing.
