Either/or.

Usually a Diamond, they are the most popular these days. Sometime some other
odd thing I've neever heard of. Did you know IBM made video cards? It was
news to me.

Usually Improved. Not 100% of the time, but more than say 2/3, if not I've
proceeded to replace SIMMS, a method I've also had pretty good luck with. I
used to think that a SIMM was a SIMM, now if it's a Compaq or whatever I get
memory certified to work in a Compaq, not just an 8x32 for example. Because
I've got curious once and move the BAD simms to another machine an had it
cruise right along. Put them back in the original machine and BARF, down she
goes. But that wouldn't affect a problem where one OS works and another
doesn't on the same machine.
