My first drive (/dev/hda) on my work machine is a 6.2GB Seagate (ST36450A)
I use lilo to in the MBR to boot Linux, Windoze 95, and Windoze NT WS 4.0.

As long as the LBA translation doesn't map any cylinders over 1023 it
works fine (I've seen this happen with LBA at about 8-9 GB).  Even then,
that only means LILO can't access a boot image in the last GB of the drive.
