I use Redhat 4.2 at home and on all the Linux desktops at the office. Redhat
5.0 on the two Linux servers at the office (glibc6 is faster under heavier
loads and has better security). In a big network real package management is
very important (I just wish NT had it), you can verify that all the files
still exist and which ones have changed, and cleanly remove an entire software
app. RPM is a beautiful thing. But the package executables and database file
take up a fair amount of space, so when I have build very small or floppy-only
Linux machines in the past I have used Slackware something.x .
