Progress on organizing -- Vote at the 30 June meeting

I'm writing this because the fate of the meeting minutes are at the moment
unclear, and we did something that must be formally communicated to every-
one in the group.

On Tuesday night, we had a quorum, and the motion to match up people with 
positions was formally introduced. As this proposal has been on our web
site for 2 1/2 weeks (http://klug.armintl.com/organize/actions.html),
there was little discussion, and a couple of minor changes were made.

The motion was seconded and put to a vote, and passed unanimously (7-0).

The Chairman of the nominating committee (of 2) has not yet stepped forward, 
but there are some likely candidates. If YOU would like to serve in this
position, please write to Mike (troll@net-link.net), who has volunteered 
to be the assisting member (or "The other guy") on the Committee. Your 
responsibilities are very clearly described in the motion as passed, and 
serving in this way does not prevent you from participating in the selection 
process in other ways (like volunteering for one of the positions, or running 
for an elective office).

If you would like to step forward, or nominate someone for one of the posi-
tions, you may write to Mike. However, the three week period for volunteers
and nominations will not begin until a Chairman (of the nominating committee) 
has been found, or the ten day period specified in the motion as passed expires.
