    Linux:I have a good overview and grasp of commands and command line options, shell
    scripting, administrative duties including installation, compilation and
    configuration of software, administering user accounts, tcp/ip networking 
    
    Perl:I Have written several scripts to manage a flat file database - phone numbers,
    etc, as well as many front end scripts for existing applications. 
    
    HTML:I have a good grasp of HTML elements, and usage to write several webpages, as
    well as my ongoing Linux Gazette column, which is submitted in HTML.
    
    Troubleshooting Skills:editting Windows system file to remedy errors due to
    deinstalled software, added hardware, optimizing Windows memory and multitasking 
    capabilities, upgrade files from Microsoft. In Linux, editting configuration files,
    and changing file permissions, linking, and installing required libraries and 
    associated software. 
    
    Hardware Modification:CPU upgrades, SIMM memory upgrades, CDROM drives, 
    modem upgrades and jumper selected configuration settings. I have built several
    computers from separately acquired components.

    Related Activities:I am a member and user of the "Linux User Support Team", and a
    related project, "The User Guide Dog". Member of the UGD Database Project that is 
    currently developing a database for North Richmond CMHC  

    Published Author of "Clueless at the Prompt", published monthly in
    the Linux Gazette, an online magazine.
