I think the amount of mail on our list is a great thing,  I find it to be
interesting and a sign of our own vitality.  But then I can remember the
deep sweeping silences of earlier days.

Two lists is probably a good idea,  one for discussion and the other for
announcements.  And now that I have lightning fast Use-net I think that
would be a nice idea too.  For the sake of the "casually involved" I'm
all for split lists,  although I fear it might inhibit some from becoming
involved in the online help and debates.
