I appreciate that Adam is keeping everyone up to date on the progress of the nominating process, and I'd like take this opportunity to shill shamelessly
about the follwing:

We have, as yet, NO NOMINEES for:

Program Director, Publicity Director, FTP Master, Post Master

We're going to need people for these positions.... our weekly meetings depend
on a good lead-in of technical presentations, and we know we'll need publicity
to help public events (installfests, appearences at computer sales, our regular
meetings, and other activities) become succesful. Our mailing list will need maintenance and expansion, and as our FTP site expands, more effort in that area will be needed as well.

Again, you don't need to be a great Linux Guru, Kernel Hacker, or anything to fill these positions... a desire to see KLUG deliver and to learn are the
most important priorities.

I did notice that all the positions Adam listed has only ONE nominee...without
being privvy to the nominating messages, its impossoble to say. Please under-
stand that the top positions are ELECTIVE in nature, we have a choice of
who will occupy those positions. If you're condsidering one of the "top" posi-
tions, the fact that there's already a nominee for them DOES NOT RULE YOU OUT.

the positions are elective, and which aren't.  KLUG, like Linux, will thrive on
the choice and the alternative. Finally, even if you don't  want an "official" 
position, there will be chances to prticipate by helping out those who do step
forward and build our group.
