A new service for KLUG members... mailing lists!

We're going to try something new with mailing lists, now that we're
a little more organized. Scott Yellig, our mailing-list master, has
agreed to help anyone set up a mailing list on our Linux server. We
can do this under the following conditions:

   1. The purpose for setting up the mailing list is related to
computing, preferably (but not only) for the use,
popularization, and advancement of Linux or applications
      available via Linux.

   2. Users have the understanding that the content of threads is
subject to review because we are guests in another domain,
and it is not appropriate to cause harm or embarrassment to
      the domain owners.

   3. Members of any mailing list are also members of the group
list (klug@klug.armintl.com), and there is then at least one
      common channel for announcements, etc.

I believe these guidelines are clear and easy to follow; We can all
help ensure they're followed. We do have a large degree of freedom
to structure our own communications, while removing what has been
annoyances to some members of the mailing list.

If you have a topic for an additional mailing list, write to Scott
(listmaster@klug.armintl.com) with your idea (and maybe even the
name of the new list), and the email addresses of the initial members.
Scott can then announce the existence of the new mailing list, so
others can join as well. We'd like to see this as a way of promoting
and focusing discussions about Linux, applications, and related topics.

                                                      Regards,
                                                       ---> RGB <---
