The next generation of KLUG on the 'NET.

Special Announcement from your friendly SiteMaster:

The PC which runs the KLUG web/ftp/mail server has been upgraded
to a completely different machine today. (Friday 9/4/1998)

We moved up from a 486/25 to a 486/133 (AMD chip), and the disk
space also increased. This will allow us to grow and add many
new and exciting features in the future.

The software was also upgraded from Redhat 5.0 to Redhat 5.1,
and the kernel went from 2.0.33 to 2.0.35.

For the exact specs on our new hardware and software, see:

   http://klug.armintl.com/about/

To minimize downtime, the upgrade was "plug & play".
I unplugged the old PC and plugged in the new PC. :{)

I started by copying the old PC's hard drive to the new PC,
upgrading the software, recopying everything that changed
since I started, followed immediately by the switch.

I'm sure the email reached every much faster than before.
Can you tell? :{)
