You must have an old Redhat 5.1 CD. The latest Redhat 5.1 errata
includes the 2.0.35 kernel. (like BSware :)

Yes, you probably need a new kernel.

The Rescue disk is made from the CD, which would be the 2.0.34 kernel.

If you would like, I can make you a custom monolithic kernel from the
2.0.35 source tree, with the latest AIC patch installed for your SCSI
controller. This kernel can also be used as a boot diskette to get
you going since it's monolithic (no modules).

If you would like me to do this, please reply to me privately
(we should probably take this off the mailing list now).
I'll need some information on which kernel options you would like
selected, and what disk and partition you installed Redhat on.

Let me know either way.
