Need help upgrading kernel
Ok, I've written before about needing a AIC-7890 driver, well I found a
boom.img with one, and managed to get redhat 5.1 installed, later I'll have
fun with my g200. The problem is kernel 2.0.34 was installed, and I believe
i need 2.0.35 for my scsi to work right. Here's the bottom part of my linux
bootup sequence:
scsi: 0 hosts.
scsi: detected total.
Partition check:
RAMDISK: Compressed image found at block 0
VFS: Mounted root (ext2 filesystem).
Loading aic7xxx module
scsi : 0 hosts.
/lib/aic7xxx.o: init_module: Device or resource busy
VFS: Cannot open root device 08:03
Kernel panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on 08:03
It gets that far, then stops. Am I right about needing the new kernel?
Either way does anyone now how to fix this? I did make a rescue disk but it
stops loading after about Loading Linux . . . . . . or so.
