Re: Connection help for a new user....
First of all, set your /etc/resolv.conf to:
domain net-link.net
nameserver 205.217.6.2
nameserver 205.217.6.3
What exactly doesn't work? I'm guessing that your modem works and that
you're dialing the right number...so see if the /etc/resolv.conf is
right......this is the source of problems usually. I run Red Hat 5.0 and
connect perfectly, and to my knowledge Net-Link uses pretty standard
things. Another question for you is what kind of modem you are using and
what number you're dialing (Net-Link has been having a few problems with
.v90 modems connecting to several numbers, due to the fact that .v90 is
still in testing.)
Hope that helped.
