Meeting September 29 - Kevin Mitchell

-Gettin' busy with the command line.
Did you ever think there should be an easier way to get
information or manipulate it? There probably is, using
command line utilities like awk, grep, sed, sort, and uniq.
Come learn some tips on using these
small powerful command
line tools, which will help you get a lot more value from your
use of Linux.
A tour of the Iserv Datcenter facility (which includes 7 Linux
machines), will
follow the presentation.

We are carpooling for our trip to Iserv in Grand Rapids, and we
would like to
know how many people are intersested. We're gathering in the
PNU parking lot
between 6:00 and 6:15. Please
 send a mail message
 if you are going to
carpool. We will depart promptly at 6:15 pm, so keep that in
mind!
 A map and more information
about Iserve is available, in
case you are
making the drive yourself. Remember, we're visiting the
  Grand Rapids office.

SPECIAL NOTE:
Meeting attendence is important! Coming to three meetings will qualify you
as a full member of KLUG, meaning that you can participate in the process of
making formal decisions, including voting for officers.

During the last week in January, KLUG decided (by vote) to define a voting
KLUG member as one who has attended three KLUG meetings:

"In order to make any group wide decisions during a meeting, at least
7 people must be in attendance, and each of these 7 people must have
been to at least 3 meetings before."

As there are people who are examing how to better organize KLUG to serve a
growing list of people interested in Linux, it's important to be aware of
this so you can be assured of participating in any group decisions.
