INSTALL ERRORS

CAN SOMEONE TELL ME THE PROPER STEPS ON INSTALLING LINUX 5.0 AND THE NEW 5.1. I
HAVE A 1.6G HD ON A COMPAQ PROLINEA 466. I HAVE TRIED BOTH AND I GET UNPACKING
ERRORS MOUNT FAILED ERRORS AND SOME OF EVERYTHING IN BETWEEN.

PLEASE HELP I REALLY WANT TO LEARN LINUX HELP ANYONE, AND IS THERE ANYONE YOU
KNOW OF IN THE SAGINAW AREA WHO CAN HELP.
