I looked at ftp://ftp.cdrom.com/pub/linux/redhat/old-releases/redhat-4.0/
and that does not contain a valid CD image. I also can't find the entire
4.0 distribution on that site. Perhaps it's to old?
To see what a valid CD image starting point looks like, take a look at
ftp://ftp.cdrom.com/pub/linux/redhat/redhat-5.1/i386
I probably should ask why you are trying to install such an old release
of Redhat . . . . nah, never mind. :{)
