Meeting November 3 - New user Meeting

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: Due to recent requests, Bruce Smith will give a
short presentation on Compiling the Kernel, time permitting.

Bring that old computer roaring back to life with a dose of BSWare. We will
help you install Linux on your PC. Now's the time to see Linux running and
get help with the initial configuration. Ask questions of the experts that
have worked with Linux and see some time saving shortcuts and special
features.

If you're interested in learning more about Linux or have any questions
about the system, this meeting is the perfect session to raise them.
Bring a friend, who knows.... they might be hooked too!

The future is Open, the future is Free.

Start your future, Today.

SPECIAL NOTE:
Meeting attendence is important! Coming to three meetings will qualify you
as a full member of KLUG, meaning that you can participate in the process of
making formal decisions, including voting for officers.

During the last week in January, KLUG decided (by vote) to define a voting
KLUG member as one who has attended three KLUG meetings:

"In order to make any group wide decisions during a meeting, at least
7 people must be in attendance, and each of these 7 people must have
been to at least 3 meetings before."

As there are people who are examing how to better organize KLUG to serve a
growing list of people interested in Linux, it's important to be aware of
this so you can be assured of participating in any group decisions.
