RedHat 5.1 boot-up

Hello everyone, I ran into a problem when I modified my lilo.conf, I added
the 'append="mem=97M" and now when the machine boots up I receive the error:

init:error in loading shared libraries
libc.so.6: cannot open shared object file: filename to long

The machine then hangs up and will not continue. Of course my rescue disk
fails the CRC check when I try to boot from it and it is my only one. I feel
like a big dummy for not having another boot disk and modifying the only
linux boot image in the lilo.conf. (I'm just a Linux newbie)

If anyone can help I sure would be grateful.

Thanks, Chris
