Unless things have changed a lot in the CAD/CAM arena during the last year, not
likely. At my previous job, I supported about 50 workstations running
CATIA/CADAM Drafting, the watered down version of CATIA. AIX, HP-UX, and NT were
the only platforms that I remember it running on, but I could be wrong. We had
some $10,000+ RS/6000s and a bunch of $6,000 Micron (WinNT) pcs running it.

If you had a beefy RS/6000 server running CATIA I guess it would be easy to run
a bunch of Linux boxes as Xstations off it. But then again, if one can afford
the admission price to a seat of CATIA; one should be able to afford the
hardware.

Frederick.
