Re: Booting problems
And you wonder why you can't get people to show up at the meeting? or that
attendance is so low? Could it be that you are degrading and demeaning? I guess
that I was confused, I guess only someone with experience can speak on a mailing
list? Have you ever wondered why out of all the users that you have on the
mailing list, that only about 6 people actually speak? Could it be that they are
all afraid of being "made fun of" like this? The original question was "how do I
get this card to work? if it does?" Not "let me tell you what I can do, and
what I've done." Did your mail actually help anyone except yourself? Did you
end up helping him? Isn't that the point in this list? And all other lists? Is
to help the person asking the question? I'm really happy that your isa scsi card
works, mine doesn't and his doesn't either, but your scanner will work, and in
the end that's all you really have an interest in, is your own stuff and what
you've done.
Thanks for you help Rob, I think that the only thing that I have ever heard you
help with was this one:

Other than that it's all be political issues, and what you are doing and where
you are going. I would like to thank you for showing me that this is not the
group for me. I've been a member of the group (email only, since I live in NY)
since early July, and would like to thank you for telling me what you are up to,
and what you've done.
