Yes, it has to do with the APM settings in the box's CMOS. You can tell it to
fire up if there is an IRQ thrown for the serial port. But the box isn't
really OFF otherwise it's just in supsension. I don't know if that would mess
up Linux at all. You might want to look into some of the servers that allow
you to temprarily create a DNS entry on the internet when you connect. I think
one is called dyndns.something. Other people on this know more about that than
I do.

What is an epson stylus? Inkjet or Laser, etc... I can print black and white
to HP PPA printers (855, 1000) but no color support yet. I use a refurbished
IBM 4019 laser which works great.
