Rather than address the article (Adam and Bruce did a great job as
always), I thought I would share my experience in a Windows NT training
class.

Windows NT 4.0 is not in beta, but it has had 4 Service Packs to fix
problems that the programmers missed before releasing it.  While we were
installing the operating system there were 5 Blue Screen of Death (TM)
situations.  Most caused by hitting the back button on the install wizard!

During our week long class we managed to have some computers work with
some features and some others not.  Our instructor even pointed out that a
feature that we were going to be learning about "doesn't work right,
especially in large environments."

I could go on but I don't wish to start the ol' NT bashing session.  I
just want to point out that Microsoft makes an unfinished kinda working
product and wants to sell it us for lots of money, while there is a much
more stable and better performing option....Linux.
