hi folks

i read this in the meeting report

Some of the comments from those in attendance include: it requires a lot of 
colors (16 bit, or 64K colors, minimum) display to run, 


i dont know much chez linux, granted. 
but when i first installed kde
i could only get it to run in 8 bit mode   
and it ran ok   just 2 comments however
in an 8 bit  mode kde session the image
 viewer always displayed the real color
depth of the image but the gimp woul
only do 8 bit what ever the colordepth 
of the file
by the way  it now runs ok in 16 or 8

bit quirky though   mind you  i probably
havent got it configured even remotely
well
