As long as /dev/hdb1 is accessable from your bios without any software
drivers being required, it will work. Yes, lilo will not be your boot 
loader, but when you boot linux from the System Commander prompt, lilo
does come up and you can your favorite "zImage" Also make sure in
SysCommander setup that /dev/hdb1 is set as bootable. SysCommander
usually has no trouble recognizing linux as being a unix file system and
doesn't complain that it cannot find any FAT.
