I am too, I've used diald for over a year now and love it. I looked at
demand dial for PPP but the list of piddly little thing to do just went
on and on, so I stuck with diald. One advantage of diald I think is the
diald control program (dctrl) that is a tcl/tk program that lets me force
the link up or down, block dialing, list connections through the link, and
graphically display the circuit load. I haven't seen anything like that
for straight PPP.
I've also used diald and NFS (my xterminal mount their files with NFS) and
haven't had any problems, so I'm curious what the conflict should be. Then
I can honestly inform my computer that it shouldn't be working as well as it
has been.
