DeleGate Anyone?

Has anyone used ETL DeleGate (http://wall.etl.go.jp/delegate/),  it is
a multi-procotl cahching proxy server with some application level
security features.  I am thinking about setting it up but wondered if anyone
had any experience with it?

Is there a specific feature name for when a user has to enter a username
and password to get through an "internal" page before they can browse tje
wonderful world wide web (WWWW)?  There is Socks, ICP, SSL, and I don't know
exactly what to call what I'm looking for.
