Sorry about that confusion.  I'm VERY familiar with fsck, just not
the 'maximal mount count'.

Back in the good ole' days of System III,  fsck was an option at
boottime.  You ran it interactively.  I'm very tickled with the automated
fsck nowadays.

As long as the 'maximal mount count' is a normal thing, I'm happy!
