Right. I'm just trying to keep BSware an exact copy of Redhat.
I'm not interested in modifying it and creating my own distribution.
(that way if something doesn't work, I can blame Redhat! :)

That was one of the problems I had with printing.
The other thing was just confusion on my part on how to configure
the 2.2 kernel to print. There are now THREE options that need to
be turned on in the kernel to enable a parallel port printer.
And if you compile them all as modules, one of them will not load
automatically with kerneld. It took me some time to get it all
figured out, and I ended up compiling the kernel a few times
until I got it working.
Now if I could get "smbmount" to work, I could upgrade my work box.
(I use my a cron job on my Linux box to back up a NT server)
I read on Dejanews that it only takes a recompile, but I haven't
had a chance to try it yet.
And for people who use firewalling and/or IP-Masquerading, I will
include an "ipchains" RPM in the /BSware directory on the CD and
a wrapper program that will convert "ipfwadm" syntax to "ipchains".

I haven't heard of that one. In fact I never had a problem with
Netscape in the 2.2 preX releases. I'm using Netscape 4.5 right
now with kernel 2.2.0 and Netscape's email via IMAP.

Can you post the kernel mailing list address?
