RADIUS user file
Hello <again> :
I'm full of questions (or something) this afternoon I guess.
Internally, we've got several Livingston/Lucent dial-up access servers
that look to a RH 5.2 server running Livingston RADIUS 2.something.
I recently imposed a 'Session-Timeout' of 8 hours and an 'Idle-Timeout'
of 30 minutes <as you can see below>:
DEFAULT Auth-Type = System
Service-Type = Framed-User,
Framed-Protocol = PPP,
Framed-IP-Address = 255.255.255.254,
Session-Timeout = 28800,
Idle-Timeout = 1800,
Framed-MTU = 1500
All of our Livingston products recognize the new setup - it works great.
However, we have a customer we provide access to that uses Cisco 2511's
for dial-up - who also looks to our RADIUS server.
On the Cisco's - the timeouts are not recognized. People can stay connected
indefinitely. Would this possibly be due to the fact that I'm running
Livingston's version of RADIUS, and the Crisco's just don't recognize the
syntax in the file?
I wanted to throw this out there before I take the time and go through the
router configs for any settings that might be affecting this. As I can
recall,
however, there isn't anything that would do so. But one never knows!
Have a great weekend everybody! I still have yet to make it to a meeting,
but
I do plan on it shortly.
Thanks,
Jay Benfield
