Question: Anyone ever hear of these cards? If you know how to
drive them in Linux, please let me know.
I decided to modprobe with EVERY module provided for low-level SCSI support.
One disadvantage is that I don't know what parameters or parameter values to
pass, but almost anything is progress on here.
Most of the modprobe commands result in the error: Device or resource busy.
and:
scsi: 0 hosts
I get a few other things from certain modules:
NCR53c406a: no available ports found
EATA0: address 0x170 in use, skipping probe.
EATA0: address 0x170 in use, skipping probe.

ppa: EPP 1.7
ppa: Probing port 0278
Failed initialization of WD-7000 SCSI card!

The g_NCR5380 doesn't print anything. It seems to hang up most of the
system. I can ping it from the LAN, but otherwise, it looks deader 'n Mt.
Rushmore.
I've been warned that cheap SCSI cards that come with scanners may not
be supported under Linux, but before I get a card that everyone knows is
supported, I thought I'd ask around a little.
Thanks and Regards,
