Yes, the patterns is clear enough. Modify the machine beyond a certain point,
and your service agreement is in essence voided. Installing a new OS is be-
yond that point. Hopefully installing other software within the framework of 
the OS supplied by Gatwway (or for that matter, changing the color scheme on
your display) is not.

See the above and previous stories in this thread for evidence. It is fairly 
easy to infer the reaction Gateway would have to a user-installed modem.
