ain't that the truth. the virus not only has to get into your machine, it
has to somehow obtain root access to do diabolical things. that's the nice
thing about having user permissions and file access stuff woven into the
earliiest versions of the software instead of being kludged into it 5 years
down the road.

yet, even paranoids have enemies, and someone who could put together a virus
hunter for Linux could probably collect from the ignorant or simply paranoid
guys. (like me.)
