i was muddy. i tried the registry hack, and it didn't work, probably because
something else was wrong. my thinking was muddy, too. so, i tweaked and
diddled until it started working, i sorta wanted pw encryption, so i was
halff-hearted when i did the registry hack. it works now and that's good
enough.
