home network/ftp problem

Klugers,

I have finally taken the time to take some steps in setting up the home
network between my linux box and my win98box.

Thanks to all the help that I received from you guys earlier.

I purchased the network starter kit from netgear and installed the
cards, installed the software on the win98, installed the tulip driver
on the linux, and in a few moments I was able to ping back and forth.
Then I installed a free ftp server on my win98 and I can transfer files.

With the transfer files from the win98 to linux almost everything goes
right but... I get the following warning once the transfer has ended:

Warning 3679 bare linefeeds received in ASCII mode...

Needless to say this just ruined my file transfer!

At first I thought that it may be the free winsock ftp server, so I
switched to bison ftp server, but had the same results.

Any suggestions on how to solve this problem?

Thanks!

Bill
