Kde

Hello,

    I am downloading Kde 1.1 right now.  Although, i am doing this in
Windows because i cant get my computer establish a ppp connection in
Linux.  I have some questions though.

1.  When i copy the files to disk, it shortens the names like
kde.1.~1.rpm (something like that),  will that matter at all when i
install them??

2.  Is there a way that i can get linux to mount my windows drive?  So i
dont have to put all of the files on disk?  If so, how?

and..
3.  Is there an easier way to do this??
